Wedding Day Hair/Make Up

Hi ladies,

I don't usually post here, but a little nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

My wedding is over six months away, so I thought I'd have quite a while before I needed to choose hair/make up. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I wanted Jane Sincere but she's already booked!!!

Can anyone make some suggestions as to really amazing wedding day hair/makeup in Newport? Either someone who does on-location, or a salon in Newport would be fine. I want a VERY natural look... is there anyone who is absolutely incredible that you would recommend?

MAKE UP RAVE!!!!

I have been a chatty slacker but I had to put a quick post on to RAVE about my makeup trial by Jane Sincere today! She is AMAZING and super nice. I wear little makeup and pretend I know what I am talking about (but am pretty clueless) so I was really nervous about makeup. I've had a few bad makeovers in the past so I figured I would start trying people 4 months out. I just got back from my meeting with Jane and I can't stop looking in the mirror! LOL! Of course my camera has a dead battery today, but if you are in need of makeup I highly recommend Jane. www.janesincere.com

HJT - I, too, had Jane Sincere do our make-up. She is classy, friendly, gracious, and DOES AMAZING work. I love how she makes you look 'enhanced' but not like you have lots of make-up on. It is amazing how well it shows up in photos too; not over done .. classy and stunning. (Nov. 16, 2008 at 12:40pm)

August Bride - Jane Sincere did the make-up for my wedding party and she is awesome...not only talented, but super nice and friendly! She also works with Christina Squire for hair and she is fabulous too...you can't go wrong!!!!! (Nov. 15, 2008 at 1:55pm)

Just wanted to post how FANTASTIC my vendors were..
Stasia Anthony of Exquisite Events..her entire team took care of every last detail, the wedding was so beautiful thanks to her...
Jane Sincere and Christina Squire did an amazing job on hair and make up. Christina just did what she thought would look good and my hair (and maid of honor's) looked awesome!! The make-up was so natural and pretty..
People keep calling about the flowers from Sayles Livingston. She was a joy to work with and the flowers were outstanding..
Night Rythym rocked!!! so fun..
My photos came out amazing and Jill Person (of Person Killian) was GREAT, I loved working with her..

Our cake was from Mark Solliday and he replicated my dress to a tee. The cake was beautiful and delicious..

Belle Mer did a great job. It is the coolest setting..Very unique and modern.. love it!!!!!

I wouldnt have changed a thing.

I've been wanting to mention my fabulous hair and make-up team: Jane Sincere and Christina Squire.

They were not only talented and professional, but also wonderfully kind and warm ladies! Having them included in the wedding day was so fun! I really felt like they were so genuinely excited and happy for me. I wanted them to stay for the ceremony and wedding...they became instant friends!

I would highly recommend them to anyone out there is looking for hair and make-up!

Unbelievable Vendor Experience

Last Sunday was my trial run with hair and make-up. I had my mom & sisters with me and the 4 of us spent the day with Jane Sincere (make-up) and Christina Squire (hair).

It was a great experience. They are so professional, very talented and they have a ton of patience, which is key! I'm one of those girls that need things perfect (god help my fiancé!!!!)

They tired everything I asked, even if it wasn't the best idea, and they would be honest, which I respect and need. I don't confess to know it all, but I am the type to know what I like and don't like.

Lastly, I MUST make mention of Nancy Rodrigues Spirito, owner of Bridal Finery. Knowing I was down from MA spending the day Sunday in RI doing the hair and make-up, she came out of her way to meet me at the salon to show me jewelry samples. Nancy spent the week finding me exactly what I described. Everything she brought was beautiful! Now my jewelry is complete!

I am very picky about my vendors and I must say if anyone out there is looking for the best, then I would highly recommend these women!

Hired Make-Up Artist!

Hiring just the right vendor is a big challenge and I'm so excited to have found my make-up artist, Jane Sincere! She is wonderful!!!! I met with her yesterday and I found her to be so lovely and talented! She uses Laura Mercier products, which is what I use, so I felt at home with the whole process! YEAH! I love checking things of my "to do list"! Sunday's are a great day for me to do all my wedding planning!
